    Chimps-in-UgandaThe uniqueness of Kibale Forest is that chances of seeing the chimps are more than 95%, which makes it the best place in East Africa and the world over to track chimps. A forest walk provides a high possibility of seeing and hearing the vast number of chimps and other primates playing and jumping around through the forest. With over 300 bird species recorded in the forest, Kibale boasts many rewarding experiences not thought of in some other forests of Africa. While on this trip you will have time to visit the Nyakasura stunning Caves, waterfalls and the interesting Crater Lakes.

    Pros: very reliable chimpanzee tracking available, chimp habituation experience and night walks also available; excellent birding in the forest and wetland with knowledgeable guides; pristine forest.

  • DAY 1: Kampala – Kibale Chimpanzee National Park

    After breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park with a scenic drive via Mubende-Fort portal high way, which takes approximately 5 hours. The park is a home to closest relative of humans, the endangered chimpanzee and the highest diversity and density of primates in Africa totaling 13 species. Check in to your desired lodges:

    DAY 2: Chimpanzee Trekking – Caves and Crater Lakes

    Take an early breakfast before your rewarding day in the heart of Africa for your chimps tracking in the Kibale Forest Park. As you search for chimps, keep an eye out for other primates such as grey-cheeked monkey, l’hoest monkey, red Columbus monkey, red-tailed and blue monkeys. It’s a beautiful experience to watch them as they squabble and play in fruiting trees. You will also have a chance to view the abundance bird life, butterflies moving freely through the air and on trees.
    Your expert guide will share the secrets of the forest’s flora and fauna, ensuring that the trail is both informative and enjoyable. Evening visit to the magical stalagmites and stalactites caves and experience the legendary tale explained by the site guide and amazing Crater Lakes, trek the hills and you view the stunning arranged ice cones of Mountain Rwenzori. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 3: Return Trip to Kampala
    You will have a relaxed breakfast then depart for Kampala and return to your host family/hostel.
